3 Cheers for Tuna JuiceIts been pretty quiet around here lately, with nothing much to talk about, so I thought I'd share a neat recipe with you. The neat thing about it is the tuna. Not only does it make a tasty pie, but your kitty gets to enjoy a treat as well.
IMPOSSIBLE TUNA PIE
6 oz. can of water-packed tuna, drained. (Save the juice)
1 cup shredded sharp American cheese
3 oz pkg. cream cheese, cut up into small cubes
1/4 cup sliced green onions
2 oz. jar piemento, drained and chopped, (optional)
2 cups milk
1 cup Bisquick baking mix
4 eggs
3/4 tsp. salt
Dash of nutmeg
Heat oven to 400.
Grease a 10 x 1 1/2 pie plate.
Mix tuna, cheeses, onions and pimiento in plate.
Beat remaining ingredients 15 seconds in blender on high or 1 minute with hand beater.
Pour over tuna mixture in pie plate.
Bake until knife comes out clean - 35 to 40 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes.
Serve with sliced tomatoes or a nice salad.
Serve your fur baby the leftover tuna juice!
