Fruited Cabbage Salad

This salad recipe is a real family favorite. The ingredients may sound a little unusual, but trust me, this salad is really good. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that it is sensational!

I'm going to share a bunch of neat salad recipes with you in the days to come, because we're getting into the time of year when fruit and veggie salads hit the spot. I hope that you like them!

Fruited Cabbage Salad

4 cups of finely shredded cabbage
1 firm banana, sliced
1 red delicious apple, chopped
1/3 cup chopped pecans, optional
2 Tbsp. raisins or cranberry craisins
1/2 cup mayo
2 Tbsp. milk
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste.

Combine first 5 ingredients in salad bowl.
Mix mayo, milk, sugar and lemon juice thoroughly.
Pour over salad and toss.
Cover and refrigerate.
